The First 72 Are on YOU!

We’re 23 days into our 2019 Hurricane Season and if you notice billboards as you drive you’ve seen Chip Simmons face reminding us that the first 3 days are on us. Fortunately, Escambia County does a great job telling us what we need to prepare for a hurricane.

The number one item is drinking water. It’s recommended that you have 1 gallon of drinking water for every adult in the home. If you have kids, my theory is to just keep it 1 gallon for a child as well.

Another item they recommend is a battery operated radio with spare batteries. With cell and land lines, this will be essential to receive news and updates. But what else should you do to prepare?
